Welcome to the Valley Gardens Tea Rooms - Saltburn by the Sea

Our Tea Rooms is situated in the stunning and tranquil Valley Gardens of Saltburn by the Sea, surrounded by picturesque beauty and wildlife. We have a large lawned area for children to play on whilst family members can sit and relax and take in the natural beauty.

Leading from the Tea Rooms you can take some of the wonderful nature strolls through the Valley and along the river banks, or the more adventurer ‘us can walk the Cleveland Way, just follow the trail to the Viaduct, don't forget your camera! (see our Gallery)

We love to bake every day; we have a wide selection of tempting homemade cakes including our traditional homemade cakes served with cream, Victoria sandwich, chocolate Victoria, Oreo cake ,fruit cupcakes, Tottenham cake, lemon drizzle, orange drizzle, lime drizzle, jam and coconut are just a few of the tempting cakes we alternate throughout the week and they are all served with lots of cream!

We serve a range of Tea’s and coffees from cappuccino, mocha, and latte to a simple black coffee, our coffee is made from fresh ground beans. Our Teas include traditional Yorkshire Tea, Earl Grey, Green Tea and Many other fruit teas or for the sweet toothed why not try our hot chocolate special with cream and marshmallows that will set you up for a nice nature walk.

Everybody loves ice cream to walk along with, so we offer wide range delicious ice creams and Lollies including: classic Vanilla, strawberry, cinder toffee, mint choc chip, Feast and many more!

If you want to sit and rest with us for a while we also offer a daily menu.

We are a traditional Victorian tearooms and offer seasonal menus throughout the year.
Our summer menu from toasted sandwiches which are very popular especially cheddar and chutney, gammon ham and cheese to tuna mayo and cheese all served with a fresh salad and a cheery smile.

Our freshly prepared sandwiches are served on granary or white bread with a garden salad
Homemade scones, selection of homemade cakes, toasted tea cakes, homemade fruit cake and more

We also offer some souvenirs and gifts from children’s outdoor toys including footballs, cricket sets, fishing nets etc. Also why not have a look at our traditional Second hand book corner.

We have indoor and outdoor seating, so no matter the weather, if you wish to have an ice cream, piece of cake, write a postcard or you can just pop in and say hello and you will always receive a warm welcome! And free doggy treats to all our furry visitors too.
